One
of the STCs that this ECN-WG reports to is STC in Optimization
in Manufacturing Systems (STC-O).
The technical areas of activities in STC-O are:
- Design
for production, factory equipment selection and lay-out,
numerical and adaptative control, application
of computers to manufacturing, information technology
and
human factors in production engineering.
- Advising the
other STCs regarding the optimization of manufacturing
systems.
